Default A few Sooty Olive Variants...

As I have the Sooty Olive to do for the lough swap, I've been messing around with a few different variants.

Hope you like

Images are getting better, but losing some image info and quality when converting from RAW into Tiff 16bit. Anyone know of any Raw CR2 plug-in for PhotoShop CS3?

Cheers
Ben

Think you have cracked it totally as regards the lighting,

can you perform changes on your picture or file i should say "in camera" on your new camera ben?

Not sure what you mean by this Ben. CS3 comes with one of the best raw converters available - Adobe Camera RAW. I think your issue is that you may need CS4 to process G11 files within CS. But the Canon software that came with your camera is also a very good RAW converter (albeit less user friendly). (Many pros prefer the Canon converter.) Just process the files in DPP and auto send them to CS3. But this is likely a conversation best had offline before Scratch gets all wound up.

Cheers Mate,

I tend to only make white balance adjustments in camera as the facilities I have with Canons RAW software is pretty good. Although it was late last night and the colour balance is a bit all over the place in the images. I think the gold is due to a touch of over saturation in post.

The Canon software is good, but I prefer Photoshop to finish the images, however I do not have PS extended so I have to import images as 16bit Tiff, and very often the sharpness in unpredictably changed.

Will have a dig around online and see if I can find a way to bring CR2 RAW files into Photoshop, apparently its standard on the new version CS4.

Thanks for the comments all,

haven't decided on swap fly, really going to take some effort to tie 15, but don't worry Bear I will spread them out in the evenings next week.

Just set DPP to export the file to CS3 once the raw processing is done. You do not need CS3 Extended.

(Extended just provides tools for editing and importing some 3D graphics file formats, enhancing video, and comprehensive image analysis tools, utilizing MATLAB integration and DICOM file support.)

Edit away (including sharpening) and save the file in whatever format you want.
