Default Cat gut nymph

Anyone know where I might get some of the cat gut used to tie this fly?
Oliver Edwards featured it a few years back in FFand FT. He did say it was hard to get then, but perhaps things have changed.

Cheers, Graham

Me too............
Some of the old style tennis raquets used catgut i think thats where Ollie got it and bought a fair few from car boots but they were all nylon, any source would be helpful, always like the look of that fly

Yep, but at least you can now ask for the right thing. I think what you want is the last one on the list (4 USP, 0.8-0.9 mm, i.e. in the middle of OE's 0.5-1.5 mm range). At least that's only 25 metres. You could probably split it with hugh and one or two others....

Luckily for cat lovers it has nothing to do with cats except that vets use it for sutures. It's "catgut" not "cat gut".
