Default red wool

I am looking at tying up some soldier palmers but have no red wool. i would have nipped down to the local wool shop but its closed down.

i was searching the net and came across this and wandering if it would be suitable. as it already has that lose fibre look.

not in my town there aint. and i sure aint paying £10 bus fair then £8 to sit on santas lap just to run off with his coat mate lol

Anyways, a skein is a lot of yarn unless you're a pro tyer so the best option is "variegated" yarns, which are many colours switching every 6 inches or so along its length. I have a few skeins and they give me a lot of colours to choose from. Take a look at the eye popping colours on the "88729 High Energy Variegated" yarn:
