Default scissor reccomendations

in need of some new scissors methinks. At the mo I've got a pair of Dr.Slicks, which I got for £9. They are 3.5'' arrow point and straight. They do the job well, but I have abused them badly unfortunately and they are not what they used to be!

I am looking for a pair of atleast the same quality and will pay around £20.

How bad are they as you may be able to resharpen and tighten them but depends on how bad they are.

If you need the longer blade I would get Dr Slick Razor scissors. If you want a pair for fine work I would get a pair of iris scissors like the Vannas design for surgical work.

Rubis are also seemingly very good, link further down the page under 'recommendation on current vice'. Haven't used them or the anvil so not recommending either way.

The honest reply is this .Dr Slick are brilliant and I always use them and on my table have 3 different ones I use for different things. So if you are looking to spend £20 you ned to be sure what you want them to do first of all.

Now the honest part. There is many scissors the same quality from the same factory and same colours and a cheaper price without the name on them.

so your getting the same scissor cheaper without a name.

you choose from there once you know what you want them to do.Any help give me a call.

Anvil jonnie, i have two pairs and not had a single issue with them, still like razors after loads of use.

My fav are the offset ones, keep them in the hand while i am tying, takes a wee bit getting used to but wouldnt be without now, i also have the long reach ones.
