Default Widgeon Drake

Got 4 beautiful well marked drakes yesterday

Any ideas what flies incorporate these feathers???

You could use them as a smoky sort of teal sub or some of the browner flank feather could just about get away with a sort of Egyptian goose sub I suppose. Of course, you could dye them and use then on mayflies, olives etc as well. Let that imagination of yours off the leash Peter.

Wigeon 'barred' flank feathers make better teal series sea trout flies than genuine teal.
Some dressers say the Peter Ross is an exception. Anyway; quite a few quid saved.
