Default New vice thread suggestion

I see on the fly tying forum first page there is 3 threads about fly tying vices, just wonder would it not be easier just to make a stickie post with a poll for all the vices that people use or think is the best, so then anyone asking about vices would just be able to click on the thread have a look at the poll and have an idea of which is the best for them, would also save admin having to check over all vice posts. Rant over just my 2 bobs worth

but would it make people buy the one with the most votes... i dont think so, as everyones choice is different like rods ,lines etc ,like me i like the nor-vise and if it became top in the poll would that be the one for you ???

On the stickie you could stick the picture of the vices, with a little info about each one beside it, good and bad points, maybe a few lines about it. then people could judge which would be better for them and there needs. I know i would rather that than read through ten pages about a vice being good for one person and not good for another.

Thats just my thoughts

It's not necessarily a bad idea - the poll wouldn't work (you could vote for all sorts of vices without having used them), but a collation of proper reviews would. It's just quite a bit of hard work for someone..
