Default Strange hook

I have had a couple of boxes of these hooks lurking in my kit for a few years.
They are Drennan longbelly hooks.
Can anyone suggest a pattern to suit them.
Cheers, Graham

they look like nymph hooks, if there small enough and light enough you could do some nice duns on them, what size are they?

They are 12 and 14 but longshanked more in keeping with a lure hook.

Graham, I think they are a type of swimming nymph hook.

I think Dibbler is right.

One use is for for tying swimming alder larva. Good for the midland lakes here in Ireland.

Will see what I can come up with on the basis of a swimming nymph hook, they are bloody big hooks though!

Those could be either the earlier version of Partridge's "correct attitude" hooks or Tiemco's now discontinued 947 & they also did a barbless version ,947bl.
