As a dry fly on a floating line, just like a normal CDC .
Dont be fooled just because it has a bead it floats very well and catches .

Woolie worm laurie

good in white and lime, red and orange.loads of variations and this time of year work very well.

The last one paul is a caenis pattern and took me a while to get that one,Ill tell you that story sometime, but it took alot of work to do that pattern and watching the actual insect.

hi
the materials are :-

chinchilla fur for the body,Black and white feather from jungle cock,(the bit which is normally left and thrown away) red thread 6/0,red tuft is rabbit dyed red. and hook can be anything from a size 14 to 8 kamasan b175.
Simples
fly tying doesnt have to be hard its a case of playing about with materials ,like a jigsaw, and put them together.Thats the fun.

Thanks for the kind comments very much appreciated.

the Mrs Simpson has the overlap of feathers ,whereas this has an overlap of fur.
I did another as I have many in different colours, and put in some flash into each over lap which sets it off nice.I did do another with the black and white feather all the way up the fly along the middle, like scales.Very fiddly but end result was good.
