Default This is amazing!!

Hi folks, after reading about the Dabbler swap that I couldn't take part in as I was too late, I thought I'd show you this... I call it the Macaw, light / dark, Stretch Flex, red head Dabbler!

Just look at it normal, looks good yeah, Then look at it under UV!
Be amazed...

Default Does UV really work??

Steve

Nice looking fly...however I thought I read in a previous thread many moons ago that UV products/UV light enhanced materials did not make a difference cause fish do not see the same dimensions as humans Maybe like most products its a confidence thing

Hopefully someone will be able to shed some light on this matter (pardon the pun)

Do fish carry UV lights with them when hunting for food in the deep dark depths ???

Would look cool in a night club though

You might find this interesting.

What do fish see?

There was another series of papers on another website about fish eyes and UV light but they have been removed as the writer used them, and a lot of information from others who visited the site, to write a book on it

I also feel that there are some natural furs used in fly tying e.g. seal, mole and hares ear that fluoresce which fish can see and are therefore very successful as dubbing materials.

Hang on.... just let me get my breath back... No wonder you need help naming your flies! That's the dressing Steve, not a name

Anyway, isn't it about time you told everyone that you've decided to go with 'Carpet Muncher' for the other one?

Nice name no, Catchy? : )

I see the point about UV and fish carrying torches etc, fair do's you got me. However, seemingly young fish see UV, they are more sensitive to it. Helps me out, I only catch tiddlers!

Anyway I like it, thought you would too.
There's a way to get that body, actually it's two bodies, that's how it's achieved.

Got to love it though eh?
