Default Guinea Fowl Feathers

Hello, I've got some guinea fowl feathers here at home and was wondering what type of flies these can be used on.

Dont be afraid to try them as a head hackle on any wet fly, the blue version is commonly used as a substitute for jay and they are also used on Laurence Gibbs Telephone Fly.
Cheers

The dressing for the published version is as follows.

HOOK: SIZE 8
THREAD: BLACK
TAIL: GP CREST
BUTT: GLOBRITE No 2 FLOSS
BODY: GOLDEN OLIVE SEALS FUR
RIB: GOLD TINSEL
BODY HACKLE: ONE RED GAME AND CLARET COCK PALMERED TOGETHER
OVERWING: BRONZE MALLARD (this is usually tied long and reaches the tip of the tail)
HEAD HACKLE: BLUE GUINEA FOWL OVER RED GAME COCK

There are many variants on the go since this version was publicised.

Cheers
Gerry
