Default My "Go to" May Fly

It is a very simple pattern, a size 10 Klinkhammer hook, spun deer hair for the cone like hackle, and giving buoyant bulk to the body, pheasant tail tails and olicve seal body dubbing.

They cast well without spinning ( the curse of some mayfly patterns ), they aleays land the right way up and they fool some very educated chalk stream brownies.

The downside is that the hackle gets quite chewed up after a few fish, but if a fly catches me one fish anythingh else is a bonus in my book.

Nice fly
Looks it would tumble of the tops of waves or in a bit of a breeze.
