Default Edding and Kurecolor pens versus Letraset

I notice that guys who tie more realistic flies tend to use Edding and Kurecolor pens. Are they better than the Letraset pens?

I have a set of pantone pens that are "double ended," ie a broad and fine tip at opposite ends of the pen which allow finer markings. I also have a set of Sharpies which are much cheaper which don't have the fine tips. Both work very well so, if you don't need a fine tip the Sharpies are better on cost.

I think they are all the same Steve, I've used them all and more...although Kurecolor are better value for money.

Now if we were talking about using them for colouring and illustrating, then that would be a different story...

I just noticed guys like Paul Whillock and Steve Thornton used these. Steve Thornton in particular has created reference pdfs for various pens on Flexibody and nymph skin for various critters and Paul Whillock uses the same pens. The range of colours in the Kurecolor is quite amazing.
