Default River box help ?

Hi Guys

I may try my hand at river fishing again next season, all that fast water kind of freaks me out i was brought up on lakes and big slow rivers. Ive learnt alot since i last tried my hand on the river.

I would like to tie up a "River box" for next season should the urge take me. No graylng just wild and stocked browns the river Carron Stirlingshire.

Im a newbie when it comes to small river fly fishing so im thinking gold head nymphs size 16,14 ? or would tungsten be better ? Dont really tie/fish dry flys so alots to learn and try !

Patterns and better still photos of the patterns would be much appreciated.

Englander, nymphs in 14 + 16 will cover almost all options for underwater stuff, especially olives.

Try a mis of goldhead Hares Ears and Flashback PTNs, all deadly.

Goldhead, Copper, Tungsten in black or gold all work well for me, depending on depth and flow of water.

OM me your address and i'll send u a few unused ones from Ireland mate.
