the conception of a couple of Ideas that were niggling me!!! Tried my dads camera this time and with a little help from photoshop we hopefully got a better shot!

Looks good from the underside - but - not so sure about that foam wing Have you fished it yet cos I could see it spinning like a top during casting. Id use something with less drag if you want a wing, like aero wing or antron, as it looks like its not there for buoyancy with it being above the hackle.

Just my thoughts

nah I've not tested it yet but I will keep my eye on that. I can always chop the wing down a little if necessary

Cant see a prob with the wing, you wont know until youve tested it though! maybe take a few with different wings and see how each one behaves.

I do like your flies though, always trying new things, good to see

cheers graham I've got a few more frankensteins in the closet to release upon you lot

Im waiting for a vantage 7' 3# to test it on, fingers crossed it will be on the door tomorrow for testing on thursday

jonnie ,what about using a white foam but splay it out above the hackle ,from underside hackle would look like veining against the white foam ??????its all about imitation is it not ,your not exactly trying to do an exact art replica ........
