But why would it be anyone elses business what way you fish, and why would they feel the need to give their opinion when it was not asked for?

Why would anyone come onto a thread and make unconstructive negative comments about something they either knew nothing about or did not concern them.

Sorry, forgot where I was for a moment there.

Interesting Stewart. Genuine question, is there a reason for not just using a normal pimp, and do they catch fish?

International rules mate, for use in comps they need to....aherm be able to catch a fish, hence the hook.

Overall length of the bung can be no more than 15/16ths of an inch and the hook no more than 5/8ths of an inch.

Tightlines!

The Pirate.

Great wotsits Pirate. Charlie also helped me with bung fishing.. and I am grateful.

Just to let you know, there was an argument at one of the NW CEFF heats over whether these are International rules legal or not. I wasn't there at this heat and only heard this second hand, but apparently the bung must represent a 'fly' so boobys and CDC sedges are ok, but not anything like a float. I guess you could say these wotsits immitate food!

Tightlines, Neil.
