Hi All,
I have one of those jobs which means I have to go into the office at the weekend, this time of year it's rather quiet I hook my fly tying trailer onto the back of car and set up in the office...
Here's a few I've tied today.
I had a chat with Mike Harding at the BFFI show, he was very friendly (I was buying his book at the time). Like me he's off to the Hebrides next year and we were talking about flies. He was talking about a pattern called a Pendle Witch is a black and peacock with an amber bead behind the head hackle. I picked some up while at Trentham Gardens. The Pendle Witch is a nice looking fly and I liked the silver lined amber beads a lot which made me wonder how else I could use them. That's how these flies about.
Here's one without a bead:
Here's a hopped of sorts, not using trying to use up Veniards rubbish legs before I start with those I bought forum member Richy (rd buzzer)
And finally this rather good one tied by Ellen aged 6
