Default offset hooks???

I was in my local tackle shop yesterday looking for Kamasan B175s size 10s.
They had none left so i picked up a box of partridge YA wet fly size 10s instead.
I have just sat down at my vice and discovered these hooks are offset.

Question is have you guys ever found a great difference in hooking ability with offset hooks compared to straight hooks? Better or worse?

I am only tying apps bloodworms so i will use them anyway. Was just curious.

Default

I've not really noticed a huge difference in hook up rate, however I do believe that offset hooks spin the cast up more, especially droppers. I only really have experience with buzzers though as all my other hooks are straight.

I've noticed pretty similar action especially when fishing moving water with an unweighted fly. Weighted ones seem to 'track' as the lead tends to flip them over or ride nose down.
