Douglas at flymakers does not sell duff goods, these are good hooks made in redditch by the last British hook maker, could not see any there but the sproat bend hook they make has been my standard basic wetfly hook for around 30 years.

Blacta, at £10.55 for 150 hooks, it's way overpriced. It's a motley collection, and includes a pack of the dreaded 'up eye' hooks which they should be paying you to take off their hands. Leave well alone. Cheeky b*stards, asking twice the going rate for a grim mixture of unwanted hooks.

Why not choose the exact hooks that you want to buy from the Kamasan range at O'Reilly's. £5.00 per 100 including postage. As they say over the road..... 'you do the math'.

Scratch ,
you are spot on there it is a not very useful selection ,certainly not what I would purchase ,bar the sproats perhaps .
Must admit I looked in on ebay saw sprites and Flymakers and my instant reaction was fine ,dougie has often sorted me with salmon hooks at very good prices in the past ,but thats all mail order instead of Ebay where he suffers from their charges!
BTW keep the fly porn coming !

yes but i dont want to spend huge amount and dont need a huge amount at the moment 5 packets at £5 for 500 hooks is expensive and unecessary for me. anyone know of any other good deals? or could anyone muster 150 assorted hooks from a mass order they have made?
Thanks Blacta

They are only worth £10 if you wil use them all, and as Scratch says some of the patterns are a bit unusual.

6 boxes of Kamasans will be about £15 and you get 25 hooks of each style and size you need, If you find out one pattern is being used more, then the bulk buy mentioned above is the best deal in town.
