Default Hot head damsels question

Relativley new to tying so please go easy on me
I want to try some olive hot head damsels question is what type of feather to use for hackles ? And do I have to buy a cape or can I get a packet with maybe a dozen or so feathers ?

try a cock cape and dont even think about buying hackles hope this helps

Dyed olive partridge for me. The fish seem to like it.

I bought a packet of brown partridge, not expensive, you can get them from any flytying supplier, and dyed them myself with Dylon.
Check out the suppliers on this forum, you can probably get them ready dyed.
