Here is another great video of mouse pattern fishing in New Zealand. It appears as though it is part of the same film, or at least done by the same people. The fishing and scenery are amazing. Also, check out the casting.

I've ordered that DVD. It's meant to be awesome.

I need to find some brown suede for the ears and tail. Anyone know where I could find some?

I use a material called BugSkin and it is the finest material I have found for the ears and tail. I'm not sure of its availability in the UK so below is a link to the supplier that I use. They are a good company to deal with and I'm sure they will ship overseas. Not quite sure what the postage would be though.

Down in soho;Berwick street By 'Flat White'. Theres loads of little haberdashers that sell off cuts of leather and suede for patching.
I have some butterscotch colour if that's any use Pm me your address and I will post it on.

Just found this really interesting pattern which I am going to make up as I like the Snowshoe fur and I like the use of the chamois too, because I have one in the car (well, I will have had one in the car, lol). Deer hair is great but I thik the softer fur might beneift the fly in terms of hook ups?

And hi Jay Jay,

North to see 'her' family and fishing there and then onto the South Island for the last month. Heading down to Fjordland via a few stops (spent a month in the north of the South last year) for some tramping and kayaking and . . . . fishing, yipppeee.

Got her some fly fishing lessons for her birthday earlier this year and she even went and bought herself some more so she is now quite sympathetic. Hoping for a few days tramping and fishing by myself in the headwaters while in the North Island.
