Admiring Phil's latest offering "The Kite" i thought to myself i dont have any of those in my box, obviously they dont work
So my Scottish version, a sure fish catcher
The only difference other than Phil's tying skills and CDC is i use the PROPER thread.

Despite the craic Buzz, this will work and purple is an underrated colour. In fact last time I was on YOUR river I caught on a F Fly with purple thread.
