silver ally with boar bristle added for extra kick , this is what l fish usually never seems to fail hopefully when im fishing our extension next week it will do some damage

What extension.
Not another river claiming the the runs are late.Please help us 'kill' spawning fish

Glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks this Jim. There are a few rivers in my area now which have an extension. It serves no purpose what-so-ever in my mind. So the EA want catch returns to try and establish if fish are running later. Of course more fish will be caught, there has always been more fish in November than in October, It's just that they are all tartan and should be left alone.

I caught a clean fish/bar of silver on monday,which I returned.from past experience() when you kill these silver October fish,they are still full of eggs/milt as they would be if they were coloured fish.they should be returned.The famous Greybacks of the the earn/tay systems were gravid fish.and if they were not then they were springers .

Default fresh fish

guys because the season has closed on most river are closed it dosnt mean no fresh fish are runnng. last year when collecting broodstock for the hatchery the men who were out in search spawning fish could only get bar of silver this was in the second week of december
