hi all new to tying what is the best wing material and does anyone know where i can get mixed loads.

Hi Lee, Like almost everything else in fly dressing, there is no best winging material. If you could let us know what type of flies you want to tie, then we can narrow down some options for you to try. For example, if you want to tie split wing dry-flies then hanked tinsels are perhaps not what you should be choosing etc.
