Gerry at Artifly does a range of dyed greenwells hen capes that I find great for crunchers.

+1 vote from me. I picked up a greenwells cape off Gerry last week for £4.50.

Going to give it a go tonight as it happens.

Default its got to b

make sure it is indian hen smaller neck feathers ideal the indian strain is more webby and insect texture easier to cloak light ginger is a tops colour for small to mid size stills and black claret and a well dyed olive for your larger boat venues capes vary in price from a couple of quid to £6 for quality hand picked capes natural black is like hobby horse keek

Totally agree with the Chunkster.. Ive also found the unwanted feathers off a jungle cock cape to be rather good. Ive a picric dyed cape JC cape and all the jungle cock eyes have been used up but the rest off it is perfect for picric crunchers
