Nice,

My R Alyn grayling will adore patterns like those. Did you manipulate the hook or are they commercially available?
Could certainly manipulate a hook first to test the effectiveness

the swimming style nymph is a mustad hook size 16 ,as Ive stated Ive never tried these before and really look forward to seeing what the hook up rate is like and if it helps in the effectiveness of the flee as i feel they may look more imitative especially during an induced take ( raising the flee toward the surface in front of the fish) as the shape imitates the silhouette of the nymph in a more realistic manner while swimming , so we will see .

thanks for the kind word ,i feel I'm getting this less is more thing ,as the more i apply this method the better my tying gets ,and as i was told in the past
(" it is much easier to add to the flees body / dubbing than to take away from it" ) ,and if you look at the naturals their is often hardly anything to them at all , so definitely less is more ,a good tip for new tiers.

very nice Ive never used swimming nymph styles before but they sure look good, the second one I can see passing as a caddis larvae casing of sorts. The PT is very very neat, the last one aint bad either is it tied with seals fur?

"Swimming Nymph" hooks originaed in Japan & were first made over here for their market by Partridge when the late Alan Bramley ran it in the 1980's. Tiemco also did them until last year, but like Mustad, who took over Partridge found them slow sellers so discontinued them.

Sprite, I think; also made them for re-branding. But it's the same story I'm afraid, although you quite often see them on ebay. I gather the tempering on these was a bit questionable in some cases though.

The Tiemco ones were finer wire than the Partridge ones, but other than that they seemed very similar at first glance.
