Default Paul Little ties at Chatton

Hi all

We have just had the best day imaginable! Fly dressing is a new discipline for most in our group of friends (I feared it would be beyond me with my clumsy left-handedness), but Paul came to Chatton and devoted a whole day to us.

And slowly, with loads of help, we constructed a damsel and a ptn indoors, went outside to the lakes and fished the new flies, and caught on them as well.

Then Paul demonstrated a woven Baetis Nymph and the finished creature was simply beautiful.

Discovered that all is possible, with a little patience, and now we are inspired to keep tying/trying!

Simply awesome, thanks Paul...

Trish

Default A Little

Hi Jim

Yes - it is such a joy to use. Many thanks. See you at Tweeddale.

I cannot upload the photo of all eight of us sitting with Paul, tried lots of times but it doesn't seem to work. Wouldn't have interested Loopy anyway!

Default Paul Little AAPGAI

Hi Trish,

Great day, Paul was extremely patient with all 8 ladies, giving individual tuition to ensure that we all created the flys at the same time. As always you were a star, within 10 minutes of creating your first fly you were on the water at Chatton and 2 casts later hooked into a 4 & 3/4 lb trout...as always not to be outdone Marion caught 2 trout, one c/r brown trout..we hope to have a salmon fly tying day next year within our salmon tuition weekend.
Thank you for all your support Trish and the encouragement over the last few months, it just proves we must be doing something right as we've now gone from 4 to 14 ladies.
