Very nice work indeed though. something for everyone there!

Thanks Scratch, interesting points re proportions. Im not too sure if its a SA thing or just me. The hackle in the RAB and the tail on the Zak are heavily exaggerated, the rest is generally kept to proportions relevant to the bugs we get down here -Tails 1 1/2 times the body for dries and 1 times for nymphs; hackles are set to relevant sizes on the hook gauge (usually one size up for parachutes) There is a theory by a very well know flyfisherman down here named Ed Herbst, he likes to find trigger points in his flies and blow them up - he says the fish recognise these points and will take them over the naturals. The tail on the Zak for example - tied up to 3 times the body length with water mongoose to give it a wavy look (as if it were swimming). The CdL Hackle on the RAB is my heavily *******ised version of the original which uses a few pheasant tail fibres. Its a bit of a general buggy attractor pattern - absolutely deadly down here.
Ive always wondered how well our patterns would work over there and how well your patterns and fishing styles would work over here.
