Default CDC Bubble Grannom

here is a wee something i was having a go at today , the color scheme is not what i really wanted but this is the only CDC i had lying around that would do the job , so here it is .

I like that one, I've seen a couple of similar patterns about. If I may suggest, giving some sort of head hackle and bushy thorax (rabbit/partridge for example) and lose the wing?

yeah well lets hope so hobble as thats what their intended for , I'm really enjoying tying new patterns at the moment ,but need to settle down into tying in sets of 4-6 so as i can get my box ready for next season.

Thats the best way to do it Derek. Tie 6 examples of the fly and if the first one looks exactly like the last one then you have arrived.

i have arrived then as I'm getting much better at that one and have a few wee spiders to show later tonight that I'm doing to fill a wee free fly box i got from GAC as Ive been hearing quite allot on them of late on stillwaters doing the business so i am arming up with them for next season .

i will post some pics of them later . maybe if i get around to it that is.
