Default JC and Snatchers

I have noticed a few Snatchers appearing on the forum with JC cheeks. Just wondering what the thinking was behind this and do these patterns fish any better?

Regards
Billy

Default cheeks ?

Hi Billy,

wether it be JC Cheeks, Biot cheeks, mirage cheeks, red holo cheeks, etc etc, they are really just target points for the fish, and all will fish well on their day. Each person has there own preference in what "cheeks" to use, and generally it will be whatever works for the individual.

I would not think that JC will outfish any of the other cheek choices, others will have there own opinions on this subject.

cheers

Robbie

Afternoon Billy. Long time no see! Very strange, I was only thinking about you last night.......... was tidying my fly boxes up and admiring your 'Allrounder' shrimps that you sent me a few moons ago

Anyway... I think the addition of a wee bit of biot or a couple of splits balances the fly up nicely Billy. It also gives the pattern an altogether buggier feel. And, as has been mentioned, another target point.

The Laxadale Shrimp, still the only fly I've tied that I thought was worth naming. You have probably got one of the last examples Scratch, save it for the next time your fishing peaty water for salmon or sea trout
...and if you can find some body hackle feathers that length and colour give me a shout.

Regards
Billy
