This year the Graylings are preferring Gold heads and today the Mary Magdalen.

Yep totally agree, had a few ladies on a variant of a Proctor Biot nymph with a yellow body and goldhead.

Yep, gold heads are doing it on the Eden as well, nice bug Mark, who tied that then.

Its not just me then.
I favor black tungsten normally but this year with a few exceptions its being ignored. Golds something i dont like, a bit "fancy", it must be the Calvinist in me

A big fat guy tied that one then ran away

Is anyone catching on pink bugs yet, i normally wait 'till after a heavy frost but given they seem to be on "bling" thought i maybe give them a chuck.

i had a blinding session on the itchen yesterday, 7 grayling of ~1pound, one reasonable trout of arounf 3/4 pound and an unquantifiable amount of parr all on a goldhead pink and HE glister bug

hi mark,had a couple of nice ladies on a flashback ptn with a pink metalic tungsten bead on saturday.
