Default deer hair nymph

this was a usefull little pattern on my local river for when fish were feeing on rising nyphs trying to break the surface.

i know the tail looks a little long but gives plenty of movment.

That nymph looks great, and I bet it catches a lot of fish over the season. Very good idea to use deer hair in this way, must have this one in the box for next season. What is the best size of hook to dress this on?

12-14 although I'm sure this one is on a size 10 for photography reasons .
