Default The Triple Threat

This Fly I Found on the Internet While Browsing and I liked it so Much I decided to Tye it......It Indeed is a triple threat it is a soft hackle Fly and a Hears EAR nymph AND A modern fly Using Synthetic materials and it looks very Good also in my opinion See what you think

Nice work FS! A very tasty Caddis pupa. Well done with that head/thorax area... not as easy as it looks. I can just picture lots of tasty air bubbles getting trapped in there.
My own preference for UK waters would be to make one turn less on the hackle and also to generally scale and slim it down just a touch. I guess just about everything is bigger in the US of A though?

here is the pattern guys.

olive Triple Threat Caddis

Hook: Tiemco 2457 or 2487 #10
Thread: Olive uni 8/0 , pearsals silk thread for Leisenring loop
Rib: X Fine oval tinsel
Abdomen: Blended Olive dubbing , spun on olive silk ( Leisenring's method )
Hackle: Dark brown partridge
Thorax: Spun olive Hare's ear


Tan Triple Threat Caddis

Hook: Tiemco 2457 or 2487 #10
Thread: Orange uni 8/0 , pearsals silk thread for Leisenring loop
Rib: X Fine oval tinsel
Abdomen: Blended tan dubbing , spun on orange silk ( Leisenring's method )
Hackle: Light brown partridge
Thorax: Spun tan Hare's ear
