Default Muddlers, Hoppers and Dabblers.

Here are few more flies tied over the week.

After my original roachy dabbler scored a couple of fish last weekend, I tied a few more up. The first has jungle cock and is sparser and uses light bronze mallard, and the 2nd has painted eyes and a slightly squeezed proportion.

This is the red muddler that took 5 at Grafham last week,

This is a bit of experiment for Bewl next weekend, anyone else fishing the charity comp?

Thought this might be useful for the middle dropper?

Thoughts welcome

Like them all . Just one question : The legs on them flies , are they just a single fiber each leg ?? The reason I ask is because a lot use 2 fibers together to make one leg . I guess it is tougher that way .

They are single fibres,as I think the singles have a bit move movement on a pulling fly.

Ben,

Those bottom 2 are especially great tyings, well done. You have shown yourself to be extremely capable at the vice and your offerings are certainly up there with the other fine tyers on here. They will certainly murder trout up here in Scotland.

Cheers Andy, I'll be sure have a range of olives.

Starting to tie grayling flies next week for our day might need some advice, been reading 'Listen to the River' so have a few idea's.

Cheers

Stunning tying. Love them all, I would go for the JC roach rather than the painted one though .

I agree with you, although I think I have work to do on the proportions as they could be better on the painted version. I'll see if the fish have a preference!
