Getting there mate.. getting there. The light on these isn't quite so harsh as usual, therefore the colours are a little richer and easier to discern.

What kind of set up are you using ST?

its a nikon coolpix 5600. does the job for normal every day pics.

I like the bumble ST ,very nice indeed ,i can see me rattling up a few of those for Melvin and Conn next year

Try dangling a little bit of tissue over the flash (or turning it off and shooting in daylight).

Didn't mean the camera mate.. that's pretty much irrelevant. Was more concerned with your technique... that's where the problem with the glare lies.
Looks to me like indoors with a lamp or two. As Steve says, tissue will diffuse the light nicely, but will increase the required exposure significantly, so make sure your camrea is rock steady. Use a tripod, and/or the timer if you're just placing the camera on a pile of books. Easiest way to cure the glare though is to shoot outside when it's overcast. Bright sunlight will give you the same problems as direct lamplight.
