I like the Olive Experiment.....Is that Red Holo with Wire overlay?

The Olive experiment is as follows: (Its untried!)

Thread: Black Power Silk 10/0
Tail: Olive GP Tippets
Rib: Twisted Red Holo and UTC Chartreuse wire
Body: Olive Seals fur with added litebrite
Wing: Picric Hen Pheasant

Nice work Ben... that olive cormorant is a beauty

Now then, the claret cormorant.... can it be a cormorant.. with a body hackle?

Love the roachy fry.. I do feel though that most wet-fly type fry patterns benfit from the addition of JC. The hint of an eye never does any fry pattern any harm.

Is that the new G11 Ben? Need a retirement home for the 10?

Will try the dabbler with JC, as I think you may be right. Might try tying a bigger head and painting on also. Will let you know how I get on.

It's the G11, unfortunately my last camera got left on the ferry! Along with many pics!

Very nice Ben. I notice the addition of tippet on the FBD, reminds me a little of the old seatrout version of the FB. That olive experiment looks very busy round the shoulder with the pheasant and guinea fowl, good work on keeping the head size down. Don't know about Scratch inspired cormorants but that roachy dabbler could've been taken straight out of his box I reckon, it looks quintessentially scratchy.
