Default Whip Finish Tool

Do you get the above in a left hand version. Comparing mine to the video's on you tube mines looks **** for elbow! Just can't work out to use it.
Any recommendations for one would be much appreciated.

Most use their fingers, others a feather. But if you want a whip finish tool, then get a Materelli.

Just saw a left hooker being used tonight at fly tying class the only difference is the hook on the end of the tool has to be modified, instead of curling clockwise the hook point of the tool curls anticlockwise. this was modified by heating and just twisting the curl in the opposite direction.
hope this helps
Martin..

I made my own tool, like the Matarelli one. I used an umbrella spoke as it is smooth and fairly stiff steel. The first step was to file a neat, smooth, point on the spoke and then just bend it to the shape with a pair of pliers. I then added a slim bamboo handle to it with glue. It works well for me. I am of course tight, but every penny saved can be spent on something else.

It would be universal, for left or right handed tiers.
