Default Hooks For Stillwater Dry Flies

I was hoping someone could provide me with some advice on hooks for tying stillwater dries in the size 12-14 range.

For my river flies in these sizes I currently use Partridge Flashpoint Surehold Lightning Dry or Partridge Flashpoint Surehold Upwing Dry but I'm not sure if the wire is too fine for stillwater use where Rainbows upto 7lb+ can be caught.

I've tied up some Shipmans Buzzers on size 12 using these hooks but don't have the confidence that they won't open up with an angry Rainbow on the end.

Would I be better off with something else heavier in the wire like the Kamasan B170 or B400?

I use either B170 or FM 31310 for dries and never had any open up.

Don't use B400's. They straighten very easily. I'm trying B170's at the moment.
