Default whiting capes

First of all thanks Phil package arrived this morning.I bought 2 half whiting capes 1 medium ginger and 1 grizzle both bronze grade,WOW what a difference between the bronze grade grizzle {whiting} and the grade 3 metz, just compared both and it looks like i will be able to use all of the whiting half cape compared to only about half of the metz cape for all my tyings. This is the first time i could afford to buy whitings but i can tell you it will not be the last that i buy.If that is the quality of the bronze i would love to see the platinum?

My pleasure!

The Whiting Farms grading system is based on QUANTITY of feathers per cape / saddle so Silver and Gold are the same QUALITY as Bronze.

I have never seen a Platinium cape but understand that they have a really high quantity of feathers and that the colours are even stronger than the Bronze, Silver and Gold capes.

Kind regards

Default Platinum capes

Phil is right on all counts as usual. The platinum capes are capes that esxceed expectations. I have been on the Whiting pro team for 4 years and have still not been able to buy one. The Gold capes are fantastic and exceed anything else I've seen in both quality, colour and feather count.

Welcome to the world of expensive feathers..you know there is no going back!

Cheers

I did splash out on a Gold grade brown saddle a few years back - same quality as all my bronze grade but a more intense colour and I still have some useable hackles on the skin all these years later!

Kind regards
