Default Fly Tying Cabinet

Thought I'd post a link to a cabinet that Mark Rowland a furniture maker in Wales made for me, its on his website:

http://www.markrowland.org/flytyingdetails.html

I got fed up (well the wife did) of me leaving bits in boxes around our house and when our baby boy started to walk my wife inisted I have a desk where he couldn't put his hands onto hooks etc...

Had a bit of a design session with Mark - his cabinet making fliers I found in 'The Bell' at Skenfrith, and , for those of you have fished and stayed at Gliffaes , they have a piece of his furniture in one of their rooms.

I have to say, if you are looking for a cutom piece of furniture for fly tying, check out Mark: the quality is exceptional. Mark is a pleasure to deal with and he'll customise as needed. He didn't even mind when I turned up at his house with my two year old running around his garden like a lunatic.

Its a bit of an investment, but well worth it - thought I'd share as I'm sure there are plenty of people on here that would be interested in something similar.

It is definitely finished Spent quite a bit of time getting the dimensions right - its quite a big desk, but the front folds down over a large vice and no little fingers can get at the desk. You can also keep it in the living room and close the lid, so you'll have no complaints from the wife about having 'fishing gear' cluttering up the place.

Looks beautiful. I'd be paranoid of spilling a bottle of superglue or varnish on it!
