Default Almost time for Grayling

So I thought I would post a couple of recent ties, all with 24 turns of lead for the underbody!!

Caddis thing

Size 10 Grub Hook
24 turns of fine lead wire
Olive 140 UTC thread
Brown Life cycle caddis dubbing for the body
Fine larva Lace for the Rib
Dyed Red hare for the head
Golden Plover for the Hackle

Caddis Bug

Size 10 Grub Hook

Golden Plover for the Beard Hackle
Peacock Herl for the Head

Czech Nymph

Size 8 Grub Hook

Olive 140 UTC thread
Brown Life cycle caddis dubbing for the body
Olive Wire for the Rib
Dyed Red hare for the hotspot
Brown Hare for the head
Surgical Glove for the shellback
Black Marker pen
Hard as nails to go onto the shellback

Thanks for sharing mate, Can't wait for the Grayling either......

I Like the caddis bug in particular!!!

But with 24 turns of lead as an underbody.... you gonna catch them, or knock them out with them?

Where will you be frequenting this winter?

I have the bargain £10 for 6months ticket for the Irthing, @ Brampton.... First Season on here so look forward to those cold mornings......

Also, got a few trips in mind for the Tweed & Teviot though....

like them , bring the cold weather on loads of river all to yourself ...
do you have the tyings for the caddis thing, and the bug ..

I have added the tying recipes for the flies

I may get around to a step by step at some point
