Default Identifying (tied) flies

I have several fly boxes with a large number and variety of flies in them. None are labled, but most are likely to be traditional patterns.
Is there any easy way of identifying them eg an online searchable or downloadable database of patterns that lists body / rib / hackle etc?

There are a couple I'm specifically interested in (because I've caught fish on them recently and would like to record what / when / where) but there are far too many to wade through books of patterns.

Closest thing I think to what you are looking for:

Post a picture here or have a stab at the "recipe" yourself and I am sure someone on the forum will give you an answer.

You don't need its name to record when / where so why not just photograph the fly?
