You sure it wasn't Hebert Minor stock (green label)? Not the same as the brown lable Whiting Dry Fly stock.

Yes, it is the Green Label, Herbert Miner, Pro Grade.

They're very good capes with plenty of well shaped hackles.

Apples and oranges. Ok for larger sized flies but not 16s and below (or even 14s)
