My most recent attempts to make an olive dun imitation specifically for those hard to hook Grayling.

Okay i got new hooks

Hi Buzz,is that the new tmc 212 hook you have used,if so what are the sizes like compared to a B100

Yip Paul the very ones from our own Phil at Flytying boutique.


They are small , a size 15 TMC 212Y equates approximately to a Kamasan 16/18 ish.

They are almost a continuous bend not unlike the awful Varivas 2200 but with less shank.

So far i am liking them much

Buzz,

Superb design, utilising the shape of the hook to its best advantage. I'm sure that the bend and spear will act as a keel and anchor the pattern in the surface ...
