Wink

Aye, I can see the Orkney trout will take a hiding next spring Andrew, quality fly dressing mate, inspirational. I have been busy tying boobies and s*ite like that for Rutland next week, booby eyes do ma head in, I just cant get them to please me. Tried all the methods, but its the trimming of them where I **** up, looking forward to the week on Rutland though. Was out on Harray yesterday for a few hours and then took my boat home for the winter. Had a few good fish but didnt come across any of the silver tourists that were about last week. Most fish came to a Doobry muddler variant, one of which I will send on to you when I get back and sorted out, I'm due you a few now! Keep in touch anyway,
Cheers Ken

Very nice tying mate when i was up ornkney with big jim mcbride i came across an old man fishing and what a bag of fish he had.
I asked what he was fishing and he kindley showed me his cast he had a stick pattern something else couldnt tell what that was .But he was getting most of his fish on a muddler not quite peach and not sunburst but it was sparsely tied like nothing i had in my box hardly any dear hair but enough for you to know it was a muddler. maybe a good idea to tie some like that
