Default Redemption Nymph

Here's something I've had in my head for a year or two but only just got around to tying...

Stateside influence c.1994

I call it the 'Redemption Nymph'..... bit of a last chance job.

Tail: Badger Cock
Body: UTC thread - 'Brown Olive'
Back: Clear Spanflex
Rib: As body
Thorax: Squirrel
Thorax Cover: Pheasant tail dyed dark olive
Throat Hackle: As tail

And here's another version. On the smaller side, and with a bit of added flash at the butt. Perfect for when things are really tough.... and you need to 'dig yourself out of a hole'.........

Wait for it.....

I'll get me coat

Thanks Steve, but you're not supposed to like them that much. They're just a vehicle for a cheap gag... You're supposed to laugh uncontrolably for the rest of the day like Midlander and I did one particularly 'slow' day on Loch Watten a couple of months ago. Small things eh? To be fair it was one of those days when you had to laugh at anything and everything or else you'd cry... Twas also one of those days when my tiny mind had time to wander.... and the 'Shortshank Redemption' was born..... 'Oh how we laughed'

Stretch the living *** out of it Mark! That helps a bit You know what mate, I don't know to be honest... I just wrap it round. Winding at a slight angle away from the tail end when going down the bend, then switch the angle when coming back up... I think Dunno Plenty tension though.
