Unhappy Claret bumble...........Not !

Hi Guys

Heres my first crack at the Claret bumble Not very happy yes i know i used red instead of claret just couldnt get any ! Although it doesnt look as "red" in real light.

Heads way to bulky, not sure if the hackles too long ? or too thick ?

Click the image to open in full size.

I shall fish these till i can get some claret hackles.

Tips welcome .............................

No, you couldn't call it a Claret Bumble.. coz it isn't one! It's a lovely tie though whatever you decide to call it.

I like the spread of the Jay, and it doesn't looked too bulked up to me. It's only a matter of tying up a few more before you get the hang of finishing off all those seperate components with minimal bulk.
