Not Posted any flies for a while so here goes with the latest creations
I've just received a few new materials, Peccary hair, Partridge 15bn hooks and pink TMC areo dry!
First up is a Klinkhamer special

Second one is a pattern also designed by Hans Vans Klinken called the ''Once and Away''

I hope you like the flies, and would suggest you get a hold of some Peccary hair as it makes cracking bodies!
Robert

Wow! - just LOVE those bodies!

Both patterns are perfectly in proportion - and good to see someone tying Klinkhamers with a sensible length of wing post.

The peccary gives such an interesting banded effect for the bodies - no two flies will ever be identical.

What size of hook have you tied these on?

For smaller versions, I have some Mongoose Guard Hair from Asia due in stock in the Flytying Boutique soon - it is naturally banded like Peccary but thinner in diameter.

Will send you a sample when it arrives.

Kind regards

To get a nice segmented body you want to try Porcupine guard hairs sometime. Have only ever seen them sold Stateside but are really good for forming quill bodies. The flies shown are very nice though.
Have a look here.
