Default Fluff removal

Is there an easy way of getting stuff of a hook so you can re-use it (the hook, that is)? Not sure I can be bothered to snip it off each hook and I seem to have a fair few.

I just use a scalpel - works well - one or two cuts along the shank with the fly held in the vice and you have a fresh hook !

Didn't think of using a Stanley: probably because my kit doesn't have one. I've always used scissors and they're a pain. Duh!

I shall give it a go.

dont burn flies... the heating and cooling will soften the steel, increasing the chance the hook will straighten
