Thumbs up Winter Flies

Can anyone suggest some good flies for me to tie for winter fishing? ive tied some minkies and mini cats also sparklers for september but would like to know of patterns for the colder months cheers ian

Whatever you tie Ian I don't think you should fish them until I have tested them for you.

I've had some top winter sessions with #16 Buzzers!! Even dries!!

Very nice flies, i purchased some 30mm fritz recently and have tied some shaggy cats but was a little worried they'd be a bit big,but iv'e noticed that quite a lot of peoples lures are a good size. cheers ian

All you need are some of my Viva nymphs and a floating line it proved my "best" pattern over last winter (i fish once per week Oct-march) do a forum search ive posted photos and materials before.............. most days it beats the lure pullers
