flashabou/ tinsel maraglit cheaper??

I have used up all my tinsel / flashabou on just a few pike sparklers....went to see how much a pack was ...
There must be a cheaper way!? I noticed a few funky tinsel wigs online, but would prefer to see one in the flesh 1st. Anyone used one to get tinsel from? Or is there another way? If no, where do youse buy yours? Keith.

If my memory serves me correct there is a place near rutland that sells tinsels direct on cones i think its called empingham yarns , maybe one of the midlands forum members might be able to give you contact details.

Steve Parton does good flasabou hanks at £1. Does not have as much movement as the real stuff but its a very good second i think. Thats what i use now.
